
Dr.
William Littlefield attended Ohio University on an athletic and academic
Rush Elliott Memorial Scholarship. He received his M.D. degree from
the Ohio State University in 1983 and completed his internship in general
surgery at the University of Michigan. After a three-year tour as a
flight surgeon for the 335 Tactical Fighter Squadron he completed his
residency in orthopaedic surgery at the Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center
in San Antonio and finished his formal training at the world-renowned
Duke University Medical Center in hand and microvascular surgery. He
was chief of Orthopedic Surgery at Wright Patterson AFB from 1993-1995,
when he separated from the Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel to enter
private practice in Dayton.
Dr. Littlefield specializes exclusively in the medical and surgical care and treatment of the hand, carpal tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, cubital tunnel syndrome, wrist and upper extremity, including sports medicine, occupational and work-related conditions/injuries, trauma, arthritis, arthroscopy, and microvascular surgery. He is Board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and also holds the Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is active as a Member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and is an active Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is affiliated with Northside Hospital Forsyth. Affiliated with Northside Hospital- Forsyth, Gwinnett Medical Center - Duluth, and Johns Creek Orthopedic Surgery Center, Dr. Littlefield and Advanced Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the entire North Metro Atlanta community.

Dr.
Dean D. Worthingstun graduated from the United States Air Force Academy,
and was commissioned in the US Navy in 1980. After receiving his wings
as a Naval Flight Officer, he was qualified as a Radar Intercept Officer
in the F-14. A graduate of TOPGUN and the United States Naval Test Pilot
School, he participated in Desert Storm. Dr. Worthingstun had the privilege
of serving in the US Navy for over twenty-one years. After retiring
from the US Navy as a Commander, he attended Nova Southeastern University,
College of Osteopathic Medicine and received his Doctor of Osteopathic
Medicine in 2005. He completed his internship at Oakwood Southshore
Medical Center, and his General Surgery Residency at Henry Ford Wyandotte
Hospital, both in Michigan. He then completed his subspecialty training
in Hand Surgery through the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Dr. Worthingstun’s practice focuses exclusively on the medical and surgical management of the hand, wrist and upper extremity. Special interests include carpal tunnel syndrome (including endoscopic releases), cubital tunnel syndrome, tennis elbow, arthritis, trauma and sports related injuries, and microvascular surgery. Dr. Worthingstun is board eligible in General Surgery, and is a candidate member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
